One of the prints I'll be offering at Otakuthon.
Song that was playing while I was drawing this: Chandelier by Sia
I don't know how well he'll sell since he's a comic character and not an anime character but I just felt like I needed to draw him.
Also, it warms me up for more daunting tasks ahead. I'll finally be posting fan art people!
For those who don't know, Nightwing is the first Robin (from Batman and Robin) all grown up and doing his own superhero thing.
For the even less initiated: YES, Batman had more than one Robin and I'm a fan of all of them pretty much but Dick Grayson, Robin #1 has totally stolen my heart with his stories.
He's the "happy" Robin, the acrobat Robin, the one who's always looking forward and letting people in regardless of the risk of getting hurt.
The one always helping the Robins after him and always giving support to the people who need it. Love this guy, he's the sunlight to the Batman's darkness.
Love the rest of the boy wonders (Tim, Damian and yes, even slightly jerky Jason) but Richard is my most favorite.

This is a really good Nightwing, really like how he is in repose with his eyes closed like that. If it wasn't for my Nightwing-crazed friend I wouldn't know about this guy at all!
