Devious Journal Entry

Journal Entry: Mon May 3, 2010, 12:10 AM
So I was tagged by the lovely :iconkidoairaku: for this journal meme... so I guess I should do it. :XD:

Rules:

1) Post the rules
2) Each tagged person tells 8 things about themselves
3) At the end, tag 8 people and put their icon in your journal
4) Then go to their page and leave a comment saying you tagged them
5) No tag back

Let's get started~

One.
I am a proud left-handed person who despises left-handed scissors. Now seriously my south-paw brethren, aren't those THE WORST SCISSORS ON THE PLANET? If there is anything that a left-handed person knows how to do well is cut with right-handed scissors! I cringe when I think back to elementary school to see those retarded green scissors where you couldn't see the line you were cutting at because the blade was ON TOP, overshadowing the line and, of course, would bend the paper almost EVERY SINGLE TIME... but I digress. I iz left-handed but use right handed scissors. lol

Two.
I can't directly lie. I guess the internet is one thing... maybe even on the phone, but I can't lie to someone's face. Even if it's for a good and beneficial reason, I just can't do it. My face gives me away and it's awful. I start to gringe/giggle/get red/get nervous, etc. You have no idea how this can be a terrible thing if asked to do it for a good reason. Well, at least my boyfriend knows that it's physically impossible for me to cheat on him. lol

Three.
I'm a gushy girl who spends hours reading shoujo manga - LOUDLY. It's... it's bad. I laugh, sigh and yell in shock, I sometimes talk to myself like thinking things out loud would change the situation in the comic... I rarely ever read shonen (I prefer watching shonen & reading shoujo... rarely the other way around) but I get so girly it's wrong. If anyone saw me in that state, I'd definitely be made fun of. lol

Four.
I think I have a mild case of Peter Pan syndrome. Not relationship-wise... but in the broad sense. Look that up if you're curious as to what it means.

Five.
I REALLY, REALLY enjoy organizing game/group/club systems & making rules for things like that. It... it is a really nerdy trait of mine that I LOVE to do. lol
*Has already thought of a whole system for a DA Original Character TWEWY group/club*

Six.
I want to start a network of artists. (I guess it goes well with the one on top since I like to organize things) This is something I've kept to myself for a little while now... I'd like to make a network that can be used for contacts for commissions or contracts for local artists in my area. List names, portfolios, contact number & emails & pool together additional funds for selling artwork in public places. It probably won't ever happen but I think that, at the very least, on a small scale, something that could work well. Well, I'll just throw this out there.

Seven.
I'm very insecure about my art. If it weren't for complete strangers on the internet telling me I was any good, I might have stopped drawing a long time ago. Honestly, if brought to any attention I will feel happy by the momentary encouragement but since I've stopped going to art school I have wondered if it was even worth continuing but the comments here and on my comic have really encouraged me to keep going and trying to improve, even if it is at a snail's pace. Thank you all for your words & interest. They really mean more to me than you'll ever know.

Eight.
I don't know what else to write... um, oh! I need only 8 more Llamas to get my Albino llama! GIVE ME LLAMA! lol

I tag:
:iconapril-lily: :icondrieana: :iconwikkedvenus: :iconsha-arts: :iconthe-switcher:
... I'll leave the 3 others for who ever wants to do this. lol

  • Watching: FMA Brotherhood (OMG), Bones

You have got the Albino! YAY :boogie:

And that network of artists is a really good idea. I hope you can set it up one day sooner than later. Those lucky Montreal people :)

Well, if that ever happens. lol.
Hi love, sorry I've been busy. I feel like I've lost my grove lately. Hopefully by making your icons I can get back into the swing of things. Oh, also, I saw the layout in the email you sent me and the next time we talk, I want to ask you some questions about it. I should have the day off on Tuesday.

Well, don't know what to say to that. I haven't talked to anyone about it. It's just been stewing in my head for a while.

Yay for learned ambidexterity!!
Do they even make a left-handed guitar for that game?? The drums also favor the right-handed, don't they? Huh. I've never thought about all that before...

There's a lefty flip for the guitar. Unlike real guitars where there's a grove that follows a comfortable curve (and not on the other side) the Guitar Hero guitar has the same shape on both sides.

can I be in on the network of artists? I'm not in OK, but I'd like to be a part of that.
I've always thought it would be great to be in an artists commune. I'd love that. Especially if I was a founding mother.

Well, it was something was supposed to be for my locality. So it has to be people I can meet in person so that if we do art expos in the summer we can sell prints & originals.

Wher eI live there's an artist district that comes alive in June/July. So we'd rent a space and use that. That would have been the idea. lol Sorry, Montrealers only.
